rise against! über diese band wollte ich letztes jahr bereits schreiben, weil das album “the sufferer & the witness” seit monaten ein ehrenplatz in meinem cd-wechsler (kennt ihr doch, oder? kein mp3-player, kein ipod sondern ein stinknormaler 6-fach cdwechsler) bekommen hat. die restlichen 5 plätze belegen zur zeit: deftones – saturday night wrist, underoath – define the great line, alexisonfire – crisis, the killers – sam’s town und my chemical romance – the black parade. ok, zurück zu rise against und laut wikipedia: “rise against is a melodic hardcore/punk rock band from chicago, illinois, usa, consisting of four members, tim mcilrath, joe principe, brandon barnes, and zach blair”. die jungs haben bereits auf fünf alben richtig gerockt: transistor revolt (2000, demo), the unraveling (2001, re-issued in 2005), revolutions per minute (2003), siren song of the counter culture (2004), the sufferer and the witness (2006) und die generation lost (2006) dvd (diese sachen und viel mehr könnt ihr natürlich hier käuflich erwerben: “amazone me”). kurze zusammenfassung: rise against und das folgende video zu “prayer of the refugee” sind einfach geil, los, guckn und rockn:
